Take the Family Day Dinner Tonight Challenge!

This month, we’re collaborating with our partner Family Day to encourage families to connect through a Dinner Tonight challenge.

Founded in 2001 by the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse, Family Day celebrates simple, everyday things parents do with their kids, like sharing a meal, playing a game or asking about their day. These activities create strong, healthy relationships that can prevent future drug use. Research has shown that reduced rates of substance abuse and other risky behaviors is just one of the many benefits of regular family dinners — so why not sit down together to Dinner Tonight?

Dinner Tonight subscribers not only get food, fun and conversation delivered straight to their inboxes every weekday, but also have access to membership tools such as favorites, tracking tools and customizable shopping lists. Family Day and The Family Dinner Project challenge families to sign up for Dinner Tonight and enjoy at least one meal together each week for a month, to experience some of the joys and benefits of eating dinner together.

On the fourth Monday of each September, Family Day brings together communities for a nationwide celebration. Join the Family Day celebration this year on Monday, September 25th!

You can learn more about Family Day on their website. Family Day will also be posting about the Dinner Tonight challenge on Facebook and Twitter. We hope you and your family will participate!
