Family Breakfast #9: Fruit Dip and Different Drummers

Posted on: August 5th, 2020 by Bri DeRosa

This is our ninth family breakfast installment for the Summer of 2020. We’ve shared new food, fun and conversation ideas each week to help families start the day on the right foot. During a period of confusion and concern for many of us, we hope that having new ideas to share family meals no matter the time of day can help parents and kids create positive connections. And as many families get ready for back-to-school (or back to distance learning), quick and easy mornings are a must.

This week’s breakfast idea is especially good for family members who have trouble eating a big morning meal. If you’ve got reluctant breakfast eaters in your household, an easy plate of fruit with a tempting yogurt dip is a smart way to entice them to nibble. For bigger appetites, pair the fruit platter with some whole grain toast or a bowl of cereal.

This Week’s Family Breakfast: Food

Fruit with Cinnamon Yogurt Dip is fast and easy! The recipe calls for sliced apples and bananas, but you could add berries, grapes or any fruit your family likes best.
