New Look, New Features, New Dinner Inspiration!

Printable PDF

We’re incredibly excited to share the big news: The Family Dinner Project has a whole new look!

After lots of hard work, we’re proud to unveil our redesigned website. The changes are more than just cosmetic; we took years of reader feedback and plenty of research with families into account to help us create an improved site that will make it easier for you to get inspired about making meaningful meals a part of your routine. Some of the highlights include:

  • Simplified layout and navigation to help you quickly find what you’re looking for
  • A new Food section with search tools, filters and sorting options to make it easy to find recipes that meet your family’s needs
  • A fresh look for our Conversation section, with search and filter options and colorful, easy-to-share conversation starter ideas for all ages
  • An updated Fun section where you can sort activities by age range and type to help you get to the fun, faster
  • Our exciting Fun and Conversation “Randomizer” tools, which serve up new ideas at the touch of a button

In addition to all these exciting improvements to the site, we’ve rolled out enhanced features for logged-in members. If you sign up for a free site membership (or if you’re an existing member), your new “My Tools” page has some great surprises in store:

  • Save any recipe, conversation starter or game to your personal account
  • Keep track of your family dinners with our improved calendar feature
  • Use our new Goal Setting feature to help you choose goals to improve your family’s food, fun and conversation, keep track of your progress and rate your satisfaction with your meals over time

It’s our mission to help every family achieve more frequent and meaningful family meals. We hope that the changes we’ve made to thefamilydinnerproject.org will do just that, providing both an improved website experience and improved family dinners for all!
