Posted on: July 21st, 2020 by Bri DeRosa

Welcome to Week Seven of our Family Breakfast series! We’re posting new ideas for morning-friendly food, fun and conversation throughout the summer of 2020. Dinner isn’t the only time of day when sharing food, fun and conversation can help your family connect. Whether you’re rushing out the door or staying home this summer, we hope you’ll try some of these breakfast ideas to add a new sense of togetherness to the day.

This week, we’re sharing a way to use up some of the zucchini that’s probably showing up in gardens and at markets. Our veggie waffles are a sweet surprise that can help you get a jump on the day’s servings of vegetables! Serve them up with a game of Charades and some thoughtful conversation starters for a rewarding morning meal.

This Week’s Family Breakfast: Food

When you think of waffles, you probably don’t think of zucchini or carrots. That may change once you’ve tried these veggie waffles! If making waffles in the morning is too time-consuming, these will last a few days in the fridge or a couple of months in the freezer. Just pop them in the toaster and you’re ready to eat.
