This post is the tenth in our family breakfast series. We’re posting new ideas for morning-friendly food, fun and conversation throughout the Summer of 2020. As life continues to be unpredictable for many families, we want to help people connect over shared meals — even if it’s just for a few minutes each morning.
A family breakfast can be a quick and fun way to start the day! This week’s breakfast recipe is great to make and serve fresh out of the oven, but if you’re in a rush, make it a day ahead and reheat squares in a toaster oven or microwave. It’s a great choice if you have dairy or gluten sensitivities, too, since it’s flourless and can be made dairy-free. Plus the recipe is easy enough for kids to handle with just a little adult supervision!
This Week’s Family Breakfast: Food
Our PBJ Oven Pancake is a flourless version of the classic “dutch baby.” Just whip up the batter in a blender and pour into a baking dish — no measuring and flipping required!
Fun
Ease into the morning with one of our most popular games. A round of “Would You Rather?” is simple enough for sleepy family members, but entertaining enough for the morning people at the table.
