The Family Dinner Project

Family Breakfast #12: Baked French Toast and a Drawing Game

During the Summer of 2020, we’ve been sharing new family breakfast ideas. Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s important for families to have different ways to connect over food, fun and conversation. Now that the summer is winding down, families are adjusting to new and varied school arrangements for the Fall. That means it’s even more important to have great, easy and fun breakfast ideas you can use whether you’re leaving the house each morning, or working and schooling at home.

This week’s breakfast is a make-ahead wonder that also works as a breakfast-for-dinner treat! Make the baked french toast over the weekend or on an evening when you’ve got plenty of time. Then each serving will be ready to heat and eat on busy mornings.

This Week’s Family Breakfast:Food

Our Cheddar and Apple French Toast Bake is a little sweet, a little savory, and totally delicious. It’s also easy to make, so get older kids into the kitchen with you and teach them to make this family breakfast on their own!
