Dinner Tonight: Budget Friendly

Dinner Tonight: Budget Friendly Shopping List: Week of July 18, 2022

Print Shopping List » Back to Your Week »

Dear Friend,

Here is your weekly meal plan and shopping list!

This week, we’re recommending that you serve rice on two different evenings as a side dish. That will also work well for the Beanie Burger recipe on Monday, which calls for either rice or bread crumbs as a binder. On Wednesday and Friday, you’ll need boneless, skinless chicken for two different dinners; you can use either chicken thighs or breasts for both meals, so purchase whatever is most budget-friendly (and fits your family’s preferences).

We’ve added lettuce and tomatoes to the shopping list to top the Beanie Burgers, but you can feel free to omit those if you’d prefer. Also, the Chicken Taco recipe calls for adding frozen corn kernels to the dish; if you would prefer to serve any extra frozen corn in place of mixed vegetables on Tuesday or Friday, that would be a sensible substitution.

Please note that the recipes provided may serve different numbers of people. The shopping list is built from the recipes, so depending on the size of your family, you may need more or less of some ingredients. Remember to check the serving sizes before you shop so you can adjust your list to work for your family!
