Dinner Tonight: Budget Friendly

Dinner Tonight: Budget Friendly Shopping List: Week of March 25, 2019

Print Shopping List » Back to Your Week »

Dear Friend,

Here is your weekly meal plan and shopping list!

This week, you’ll be buying plenty of fresh vegetables for your dishes. The romaine will be used in the chicken tortas and a side salad for the Hot Stuff Casserole on Friday, but you can also use a small amount to top your black bean tacos if you’d like. You’ll need five of the tomatoes for Thursday’s Shakshukah, and the last for your salad.

When you purchase bread rolls for your Chicken Tortas, if it’s more economical to buy a larger number, you can use the extras to serve with your Shakshukah rather than buying two different bread products. Also, don’t forget that you may still have staple items like rice and frozen corn on hand from previous weeks — make sure to look before you shop so you don’t buy more than you need!

Please note that the recipes provided may serve different numbers of people. The shopping list is built from the recipes, so depending on the size of your family, you may need more or less of some ingredients. Remember to check the serving sizes before you shop so you can adjust your list to work for your family!
