This recipe was inspired by an appetizer from a now-gone Mexican restaurant called the Forest Cafe in Cambridge, Mass. It has just 4 ingredients and can be done in 15-20 minutes. Even better, it’s simple enough to be made, start to finish, by your kids! Just watch my 12-year-old son Tano and 10-year-old son Luca as they go step by step through the process of preparing what Luca refers to as “the first green bean recipe I’ve ever really liked.”
