Talking About: Gender Roles

Note: The following post was originally published after the death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. However, talking about gender roles is always a relevant conversation for families. For that reason, we’re re-publishing the piece in honor of Women’s History Month. But no matter the occasion, we hope families will use these questions to start a thoughtful discussion about gender equity.

The recent death of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has sparked lots of conversation. No matter what your political beliefs may be, it’s hard to deny that her life and work made a lasting mark on the United States. Many will remember her for her efforts on behalf of women’s rights and gender equity. Ginsburg’s belief in equal rights for women was a hallmark of her work. In recognition of her tenure as only the second woman to serve on the Supreme Court, here are some conversation starters for talking about gender roles.
