We’re inspired by the work of our friends at Pizza to the Polls, who are making democracy delicious. Their polling location pizza parties made us think: Voting offers a new opportunity for connection around food, fun, and conversation. Too often, politics makes us focus on what divides us. Why not try uniting, instead, around a common cause? And surely there’s no greater common ground than pizza.

So we’ve created these activities and conversation starters to bring the best things about shared meals to the election season. You can use them to pass the time while you wait in line at your polling place, or as fun activities with friends and family anywhere you gather. Break the ice and get to know someone new, or learn new things about someone already dear to you. And remember, just like some people think pineapple belongs on pizza and some don’t, we all have our own opinions about politics. But everyone gets to order the slice that’s right for them.
