Here are a few ways to get your kids involved in preparing Thanksgiving dinner:
1) Mash potatoes: What child wouldn’t jump at the opportunity to squish food? Place a few peeled, softened potatoes in
2) Mix gravy, stuffing or bread batter : Any time there’s an opportunity to stir or toss something, hand the task over to your kiddo.
3) Peel veggies : Older children can be trusted to peel carrots or chop green beans. Just make sure they know to move the peeler (or knife) away from themselves, and tell them to be mindful of their fingers.
4) Decorate the table : Have your kids make place-cards for family members, decorate the table with construction paper leaves or make a fun centerpiece using pinecones!
